Having run the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) at school for over 5 years as the DofE Coordinator, I know how it all works and what is expected of you to achieve each of the awards; bronze, silver and gold. I am a Hill and Moorland Leader registered with Mountain Training, a qualified climbing wall instructor and a member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). I have got an enhanced DBS and have a remote 16hr outdoor first aid certificate.
So what can Geographer on the Road offer you?
Need advice on what counts for the three sections entitled volunteering, physical, or skills? I can assist.
Need an assessor for the expedition section? I have completed the DofE's Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS) and I am now a qualified accredited DofE Expedition Assessor!
Get in touch if you need me, or find me on the official DofE Assessor Directory.
